Enriching the lives of Hermosa Beach young men through volunteerism and community involvement with the support of their moms.
Hermosa Hermanos is an organization that is run by mothers/female mentors who partner with their sons. The sons, also known as Hermanos, focus on volunteering, attending meetings and participating in events that help them improve their communication and life skills. Through these activities, Hermanos learn how to manage their time, communicate effectively, belong to a group, and meet with members of the local non-profit community.
The goal is to gain a deeper connection to Hermosa Beach and the local community while developing a lifelong love of service.
Leave a positive impact on Hermosa Beach and our local communities.
We partner with non-profits or community service organizations that provide for the different needs and issues of the community.
Develop and foster a lifelong love of volunteering.
Hermanos’ main responsibility and time commitment is focused on volunteering. Hermanos that reach their grade level hours at the end of each year will be recognized with a certificate of completion as well as a special event in their senior year honoring Hermanos for completing 115 hours. Hermanos may also work toward earning the President’s Volunteer Service Award.
Grow life skills that contribute to personal development and success.
Participating in quarterly meetings featuring various speakers and optional cultural and bonding events allows for opportunities to learn critical life skills to support Hermanos throughout their high school careers.
